Yemen: when the U.S. hides its involvement

The United States denies its involvement in the conflicts in Yemen in order to get rid of the embarrassing results that Saudi Arabia has accumulated there.

Through an article entitled “Why shouldn’t America be involved in Yemen? “the American daily The National Interest implicitly suggests that the United States is not yet involved in the conflicts in Yemen.

This is despite the fact that the United States is providing direct support to the Saudi coalition of aggression in terms of equipment and military advisors, thus being involved in the misery suffered by the Yemeni people.

Through an article entitled “Why shouldn’t America be involved in Yemen? “the American daily The National Interest implicitly suggests that the United States is not yet involved in the conflicts in Yemen.

This is despite the fact that the U.S. is providing direct support to the Saudi coalition of aggression in terms of equipment and military advisors, thus being involved in the misery suffered by the Yemeni people.

“All this is quite calculated. A State Department source shared with CNN that the Trump administration was trying to make it harder for Biden to reverse its policy,” the National Interest reported.
He added: “There are sparks flying across the Middle East, but no place is more on fire than Yemen. And for Biden, which has vowed to end U.S. support for the war in Yemen, Trump’s last-minute actions there are bound to be problematic.
The article went on to report Donald Trump’s decision to designate Ansarallah as a terrorist organization.

The question remains as to why Joe Biden is not in a position to undo all of Trump’s last-minute actions when Trump was easily able to withdraw from an important multilateral agreement, the nuclear accord with Iran.
Moreover, why does the United States deny its involvement in the conflicts in Yemen when it provides unwavering support to the Saudi coalition of aggression? Are the Americans afraid of missile and drone attacks by the army and the People’s Committees of Yemen? Or do they want to protect their prestige by not getting involved in the embarrassing results accumulated by Saudi Arabia? And perhaps Washington does not want to reveal its involvement in the war in Yemen because it fears a Vietnam-like experience.
