BEIRUT – Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, met with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas.
Nasrallah discussed with Ismail Haniyeh the development of the Axis of Resistance, threats, challenges and opportunities, while stressing the need for cooperation of all parts of the Axis of Resistance to serve the main goal which is related to Jerusalem, Islamic sanctities and the Palestinian ideal.
Haniyeh, arrived in Lebanon on Tuesday at the head of a high-level Hamas delegation. Local media reported that he is expected to meet with President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
