According to the Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) has agreed to investigate the Palestinian complaint about racist actions of the Zionist Israeli regime.
Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said the Palestinian complaint was sent to the UN committee two years ago. Now its review has been confirmed, he said.
Al-Maliki added that the Palestinian Authority is waiting for the case to be followed up. Israel must respond to the committee’s demands, he said.
The monitoring of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination by Governments is carried out by the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD ).
The Palestinian Authority has repeatedly complained to the International Criminal Court about the Zionist regime.
Since 2012, Palestine has joined dozens of international organizations as a UN member with observer status, including the 1973 International Convention against Racism and for the Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid and the 1967 International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
