Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the case of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist who entered Saudi Arabia’s Istanbul consulate in Turkey four years ago, was shot and disappeared into thin air by Riyadh agents.

“What the administration touted this week in granting sovereign immunity to Mohammed bin Salman is in line with the practice of lawsuits involving foreign heads of state,” Cotton (R-Ark.) told Fox News Sunday. “It would have been a big break if those customs had not granted that kind of immunity.”

On Thursday, the U.S. State Department granted bin Salman immunity from prosecution despite Joe Biden’s earlier promise to hold the de facto Saudi ruler accountable for the crime.
