Michael Kuperbergun, executive director of the Global Change Research Program, had been kicked out by the billionaire enemy of science.

He was an enemy of science at the lowest levels of Bolsonaro. But now that he is gone from the White House, reasonableness can return and the witch hunt can end. The White House has readmitted among its top advisers, Michael Kuperbergun, executive director of the Global Change Research Program, fired by the Trump administration. The official six months ago had been dismissed from his role; now with his readmission, the White House wants to underscore the need for climate and science investigating climate change not to be tied to partisan positions. “We face urgent climate threats, but we have the knowledge to take bold action to combat them,” Kuperberg said in a statement. “President Biden and Vice President Harris are committed to providing the strengths we need to mitigate their causes and impacts, and I look forward to providing nonpartisan scientific findings to guide those actions.”
