U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan are transporting members of the IS terrorist militia in the east of the war-torn country by helicopter, according to the Taliban.
Senior members of a Taliban political delegation on an official visit to Iran to discuss the Afghan peace process and other relevant issues reported this at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, saying U.S. forces in Afghanistan were supporting IS terrorists so they could flee areas under Taliban control.
“The IS was in Nangarhar and Kunar; they were in those areas. They were eliminated there by the Taliban, but their members were taken away from there by helicopters,” Suhail Shaheen, negotiating member of the Taliban delegation, told reporters, adding,” When the Taliban surrounded them we saw that only American helicopters could fly. The Afghan airspace is completely under the control of the Americans.”
