In an exclusive interview with IUVMPress, Ahmad Al-Darzi, a well-known Syrian analyst emphasized that the American government and the Arab puppet regimes won’t reach their sinister goals as our martyrs left a valuable legacy which will safeguard or region from the enemy’s encroachments
Q: Trump assassinated General Soleimani on the pretext that the world would become a safer place for the American military. What is your opinion regarding this claim?
Answer: First of all, I must point to the fact that with the victory of the glorious Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, this vast country was once again able to gain its independence from the Western bloc and play its historical role in the context of the rapid developments in the Middle East. Meanwhile, General Qassem Soleimani successfully managed to strengthen Iran’s influence across the globe.
The extraordinary military acumen of Gen. Soleimani was such that the Axis of Resistance extended from Iran to the Mediterranean shores. And thus, Iran has an instrumental role in establishing stability, peace and tranquillity in the West Asian region. It is vital to note that security will not be fully restored to the Middle-East unless the US and Western occupying forces completely withdraw from our region. It should also be noted that the point of consensus among the Middle-Eastern nations, except the common culture, faith and geography, is the issue of Palestine and the liberation of Holy Al-Quds.
Q: The Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, recently announced that the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, pushed Donald Trump to assassinate him too. Do you think that Saudis have been secretly in cahoots with the American in assassinating the late Gen. Soleimani?
A: In my opinion, Saudi Arabia and Israeli are sides of the same coin. Since 1932, when the Saudi clan established their rule over the Arabian Peninsula, the Saudi leaders were in total harmony with the Zionist regime’s agendas. As the rulers of Riyadh are afraid of the growing power of the resistance, they may have been involved in the assassination of Martyr Soleimani. We all remember that the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) admitted in 1985 that Saudi Arabia had unsuccessfully planned to assassinate Muhammad Hussein Fazlullah in Lebanon, which resulted in the death mar of 80 innocent civilians.
Question: Do you think is there any connections between the assassination of Gen. Soleimani and the process of normalization of ties between the Arab countries and the Zionist regime?
Answer: Following 2011, and as Yemen joined the Axis of Resistance, Israel and Saudi Arabia felt existentially insecure as the strength of the Axis of Resistance exponentially increased. Therefore, they decided to maintain their pernicious hegemony in the West Asian region by assassinating Gen. Soleimani. Though I believe that the United States and its Arab puppet regimes will never achieve their sinister goals as our martyrs left such a valuable legacy which will safeguard or region from the enemy’s encroachments.
