A Syrian refugee turned his skin into a work of art in order to reach Europe.
According to Iran’s YJC news agency, citing Middle East Monitor, Ali Sam a Syrian refugee has taken a strange route to travel to Europe to get away from the war and meet his partner again.
He with no legal status, however, is unable to obtain a visa to travel to Europe, where his beloved Abeer lives. While he lives opening cocktails in the art galleries of Beirut, he meets a famous Belgian artist with whom he makes a strange agreement. The artist in fact transforms the boy into a work of art by tattooing a Schengen visa on his back.
But Sam ends up realizing that his decision may not mean freedom.
In addition to the pains of war and displacement he is experiencing, Sam would also have to deal with the exploitation of human suffering and the lack of respect for human dignity.
