SANA’A-The blockade imposed by the Saudi regime on Yemen is “hampering” the ability of humanitarian organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to provide aid to the poor Arab nation.
“Let us not forget that millions of Yemenis are in need of humanitarian assistance, and the blockade that has been imposed on the Yemeni people in recent years has had a dramatic impact on their already difficult living conditions. We have not been able to bring in humanitarian aid, we and other humanitarian organizations, and this has negatively affected food prices and even food imports. Yemenis because of the war have limited access to food, fuel and medicine. The blockade imposed by Saudi Arabia, has really escalated the situation in a negative way,” Ralph Elhaje, a spokesman for Cicr taken up by the website Farosulmondo, said in an interview.
