Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Davos summit that imposing illegal sanctions, economic obstacles, financial, technological and intelligence restrictions is a dangerous game that could endanger the use of unilateral military power and increase centers of tension in the world.
Putin in his speech at the Davos economic summit held online this year added that the era of trying to create another unipolar and centralized world order is over.
Vladimir Putin also alluded to the rise of aggressive words of some countries in the foreign policy arena and warned that this issue is a clear threat that would exacerbate international problems for mankind in the coming decades.
The Russian president also said that the Covid-19 outbreak has accelerated existing problems and increased the risk of confrontation.
The Russian president’s statements come while, despite Russia’s success in producing the Covid-19 vaccine, Western mass media have taken negative stances against Moscow on the matter.
Russian officials have also repeatedly warned against unilateral U.S. sanctions.
