The U.S. newspaper “The New York Times” has produced new evidence about the possible cover-up that Haiti’s interim prime minister, Ariel Henry,…
would have offered to the wanted Joseph FeliX Badio, one of the main accused of the murder of President Jovenel Moise. Nova news agency reports. Cross-referencing the review of some phone records, the anonymous confidences of some senior Haitian officials and an interview with a drug trafficker in the crosshairs of justice, the newspaper speculates contacts between Henry and Badio before and shortly after the attack, which took place on the morning of July 7, 2021 at Henry’s private residence. Badio, a former anti-corruption official of the Ministry of Justice, would have had two phone calls with Henry for a total of seven minutes, just after the murder. And four months later, while a fugitive, he would be welcomed at the prime minister’s residence on two occasions.
