PYONGYANG – North Korea strongly denied rumors spread by the United States about an alleged supply of arms or ammunition to Russia.
“America and other hostile forces spread lies about the transfer of arms between North Korea and Russia,” in violation of the U.N. Security Council resolution. This was reported by the official North Korean news agency KCNA, citing a senior official in the country’s Defense Ministry. “We have never exported weapons or ammunition to Russia before and do not plan to do so in the future.”
U.S. State Department deputy spokesman Vedant Patel had said earlier this month that Russia “is buying millions of rockets and artillery shells from North Korea for use in Ukraine.”
