According to news sources, there was a missile attack Saturday morning on a U.S. military base near Baghdad International Airport.
At least four missiles were fired toward Baghdad airport, specifically at Victoria base, where U.S. troops are stationed.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi resistance groups’ Saberin news channel reported that sirens sounded after the attack and American drones flew over the region.
Earlier, news sources reported the activation of the new U.S. military defense system at Victoria Base. This system is used to deal with mortar shells and rockets. Saberin News wrote that the C-Ram air defense system failed in the face of this missile attack.
Saberin News also reported Friday evening that a U.S. military logistics convoy had been attacked and damaged in Iraq’s central province of Salah al-Din.
On Friday, Iraqi media reported five attacks on U.S. military convoys in various Iraqi provinces, unprecedented in their nature.
U.S. convoys and military bases in Iraq have been attacked several times in recent months. Many Iraqi people and groups want the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, and the Iraqi parliament has approved a plan for the withdrawal of these forces.
