Russia’s foreign minister has reacted to German foreign minister’s anti-Russian statements.
According to the Fars news agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov criticized German Foreign Minister Analena Baerbock’s statement that he continues to sanction Russia and support Ukraine regardless of the situation of the country’s population. European and American authorities have implemented sanctions packages against Russia in various political and economic dimensions, the purpose of which was to cripple Russia in the economic dimension and put pressure on this country. At the same time, the West’s anti-Russian sanctions under the pretext of the war in Ukraine have had serious negative effects on the economies of Western countries and have caused unprecedented inflation and rising gas and fuel prices in these countries, and Europe is facing deepening economic crisis and fuel shortages. However, Western countries insist on continuing their hostile policies against Russia. Russia has cut off its gas supplies to Europeans, who are heavily dependent on it, in retaliation for European Union sanctions after the country invaded Ukraine.
