A group of 250 hooded activists threw paper bombs and firecrackers at the mobile units of the forces near the access to the Chiomonte construction site area.
During yesterday’s No Tav procession, more than 250 hooded protesters left the gathering in the village of Giaglione and threw paper bombs and firecrackers at the mobile police units. Among the agents there were two wounded, fortunately minor. Numerous demonstrators had arrived in the Susa Valley from other regions of northern Italy.
In the morning, instead, the Yes Tav rally was held in Turin, which – according to the movement’s founder Mino Giachino – “will put us back in touch with the world market, with the global economy. It will make Turin return to the center of foreign investments that in recent years have not been there anymore”. (RAI)
