The Zionist-Israeli regime announced Sunday the official opening of its embassy in the United Arab Emirates.
According to a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the embassy is housed in “temporary offices” in Abu Dhabi until a permanent home is found.
Reuters reported that the opening of the Israeli embassy was decided after a meeting of the cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktum. With this step, the United Arab Emirates hopes to win the support of the United States under Joe Biden.
According to some other reports, the Israeli consulate will also be opened in Abu Dhabi. The United Arab Emirates decided to establish diplomatic relations with Israel back in mid-August.
Prior to that, the Israeli embassy in the Bahraini capital of Manama already began its work a few months ago.
Under U.S. pressure, four Arab states, i.e., the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, have normalized their relations with Israel in recent months. The normalization agreements have been met with widespread protests in the Islamic world.
