Barely a few hours after an Israeli strike against Masyaf, a locality near Hama where pro-Erdogan terrorists are fleeing under the blows of Syrian/Russian strikes, the Turkish president begged Israel to resume its “normal” relations with Turkey.
Erdogan admitted that his cooperation with Tel Aviv had never ceased, especially in terms of intelligence. After a wave of withdrawal pushing Ankara to abandon M5, is Erdogan counting on Israel to occupy Ain Issa?
The Sultan is appealing to Mossad; Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that his country wants to establish better relations with Israel and that intelligence talks continue between the two sides.
Quoting Erdogan, Anadolu public agency, said that cooperation between Turkey and Israel in the field of intelligence continued and had not ceased.
“His government (Netanyahu) has problems with people at the highest levels… if it weren’t for these problems, our relations would have been completely different. And Israel’s policy towards Palestine is unacceptable,” the Turkish president said at a press conference in Istanbul after Friday prayers.
“We cannot accept Israel’s policy towards Palestine, and that is the point of our disagreement. Our own policy is based on our concept of justice and the territorial integrity of states. Otherwise, we hope to bring our relations with them to a better level,” added President Erdogan.
Erdogan’s message to Tel Aviv comes after a relative lull of several weeks following which the conflicts exposing the terrorist groups Huras al-Din, Ansar al-Tawhid and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in Jabal al-Zawiya in the western province of Idlib in northern Syria have returned to the starting point, Sputnik reported on Saturday, December 26.
Sputnik’s correspondent in Idlib confirmed that armed groups had attempted to target Syrian army sites on the Jabal al-Zawiya axis and the southern countryside of Idlib with several rockets that did not cause any casualties.
In turn, Syrian army units retaliated by targeting positions in the localities of Kansafra, Sufuhn and around the town of al-Bara in Jabal Al-Zawiya.
Sputnik said that the Syrian army, in close cooperation with Russian forces, is facing actions of armed groups during the last two days on the axes of Benin and Kafr Battikh in the south of Idlib, as its surveillance and reconnaissance units thwarted an attempt to infiltrate the terrorists, many of whom were killed or injured by the pre-emptive strikes.
Against the backdrop of the developments of the front in the Idlib campaign, the armed groups are trying to strengthen their positions in the regions of Jabal al-Zawiya, the plain of al-Ghab and the northeastern campaign of Latakia.
Having prepared for all scenarios that may arise at any time on the ground, the Syrian army has increased its operational readiness on all axes of confrontation between the campaigns of Hamah, Idlib and Latakia, Sputnik noted.
