Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Organization has reported the arrest of a suspected terrorist linked to Thursday’s bombings in Baghdad’s al-Tayran Square.
In this regard, Abdul Wahab al-Saedi, head of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Organization, said Friday evening that a unit of the Counter-Terrorism Organization arrested the man in the city of al-Tarmiyah in northern Baghdad province.
The operation to avenge the victims of the Baghdad bombings will continue until the identification of the masterminds who facilitated the entry of terrorists into the Bab al-Sharqi area in the center of Baghdad, and caused and encouraged these terrorist explosions, underlined a-Saedi.
The revenge operation for the victims of terrorist attacks in Baghdad to defeat the remnants of IS terrorist groups began at dawn on Friday on the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces and under the direct supervision of the head of the Counter-Terrorism Organization, and the units of the Counter-Terrorism Organization are also present in this operation based on accurate information and according to court orders.
