Donald Trump would be on the payroll of the KGB, the former feared secret service of the Soviet Union, for a lifetime.
It was revealed by Yuri Shvets, a former KGB spy, who in the 1980s, at the height of the Cold War, worked as a covert agent in Washington. To make public the revelation was the same Soviet 007 in the book “American Kompromat”, realized by the journalist Craig Unger and already author of the book “House of Trump, House of Putin”.
Yuri Shvets, now 67 years old, worked for the KGB using as a cover a position at Tass, Russian news agency, then in 1993 he obtained American citizenship. “This is an example – his words to the microphones of the Guardian tabloid – of how people were recruited when they were students and then came to important positions, something like that happened with Trump.”
According to what Unger revealed, Trump was first targeted by the KGB in 1977, after marrying his current wife, Ivana Trump, born Ivana Zelnickova, a Czechoslovakian model.
