WASHINGTON – According to Douglas Macgregor, former Pentagon adviser, the ‘take no prisoners’ foreign policy promoted by the Biden administration , means that …
the outcome of the next phase of the war in Ukraine will not only destroy the Ukrainian state but also demolish the last vestiges of the postwar liberal order and produce a dramatic shift in power and influence in Europe, especially in Berlin, [where influence will shift] from Washington to Moscow and, to a limited extent, to Beijing.”
Col. Douglas Macgregor, a former senior adviser to then-U.S. Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, also believes that U.S. actions will lead to an increase in Russian military power after the end of the conflict in Ukraine — the opposite result from that expected by Washington. Macgregor wrote this for The American Conservative magazine.
