Armed men have killed dozens of people in Nigeria, including two soldiers and a policeman, in Kebbi State, in the north-west of the country.
This was reported by the BBC specifying that the attack took place in the village of Dankade, located in the area of Danko-Wassagu, but the details are emerging with delay because in the area there is no telephone network. Reports are that more than 50 people were killed, some by gunfire and others with their throats slit. One villager who fled the violence told the BBC that 13 of his relatives were killed. Kebbi State Governor’s security advisor Garba Rabiu said that from available information, no more than 20 people have been killed. Residents of the area say dozens of people, including women, have been abducted, while the fate of the village head following the attack is unknown.
