European Parliament President David Sassoli said he is “deeply concerned” about what is happening in Russia and the use of force against those who have demonstrated in favor of opponent Alexey Navalny. In a tweet, Sassoli called for Navalny’s release and respect for the right of Russian citizens to hold peaceful assemblies and freedom of expression.
More than 3,400 people arrested and one injured. This is the balance of the demonstrations held in several cities of Russia to demand the release of the opponent Alexey Navalny.
