NEW DELHI – India’s capital is experiencing a bout of exceptional heat, with temperatures …

of seven to eight degrees higher than seasonal averages, normally much milder in early spring. The thermometer in Delhi yesterday touched the peak of 38.3 degrees, with the minimum at 20; the IMD, the Indian Meteorological Institute predicts that over the weekend the values could rise again.
