Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of the president of Brazil, expressed his support for Donald Trump, in the face of the decision by Twitter to block the US president’s account.
Brazilian congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro published on Monday a message of support for Trump on Twitter, following the decision of this social network to block the US president’s account for inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6.
Twitter permanently suspends Trump’s account
“After a detailed review of the recent TWITTER AUTHORITY ACTS and the context surrounding them, specifically how they are received and interpreted on and off Twitter, I WILL permanently USE THE TRUMP IMAGE because of the risk of further incitement to violence,” says Eduardo Bolsonaro’s tweet about his new profile photo.
Congressman Bolsonaro, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, took the opportunity to criticize that “a world in which Maduro has social networks, but Trump is suspended cannot be normal.
The Brazilian legislator also rejected the decision of Apple, Google and Amazon to block the social network Parler, a refuge for Trump’s followers and which he himself uses.
Previously, Eduardo Bolsonaro posted on his Parler account a caricature of the Twitter branded bird, comparing it to Adolf Hitler.
At the same time, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro suggested to his followers on Instagram that they visit his recent posts on the social network Parler, as an act of support for his American counterpart.
In addition, alluding to the violence of Trump supporters who forcibly broke into the Capitol, Bolsonaro warned that this could happen if the printed vote is reintroduced in the 2022 elections in Brazil.
The digital platform Facebook has also suspended Trump’s account indefinitely because of the “too big a risk” that the president’s online activity represents for the company, following the events on Capitol Hill.
