President-elect Joe Biden will begin his administration in the worst case scenario in the U.S., with nearly 40 million of Trump’s supporters hating him.
“Joe Biden’s presidency will begin in the worst case scenario of negative polarization, of division, of hate, of confrontation, almost of a pre civil war,” Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro said Sunday in a television address.
The Chavista leader also said that half of the voters of the Republican Party support outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump, since almost 40 million Americans agree with the assault on the Capitol, which took place last Wednesday.
Faced with such a situation, Maduro defined the U.S. as a very divided society. “They think they are the cops of the world, they think they are the owners of the world, and anyone who thinks differently from them is a communist and should be wiped out, and should be invaded,” he lamented.
After considering those who led the assault on the Capitol the same ones who want to invade Venezuela, Maduro affirmed that currently “the US is taking a little bit of its own medicine”, since it has already organized similar events against Venezuela and other countries like Bolivia and Ukraine.
After Trump’s demand that his supporters march on Capitol Hill and “fight much harder” to overturn the results of the election, in which Biden won, his supporters attacked Capitol Hill on January 6.
The assault left five dead and dozens injured, and national security information has been stolen.
