The U.S. president has consulted with his Mexican counterpart on changing the immigration policy of the previous White House administration.
According to the Iranian news agency “Fars News”, US President Joe Biden spoke with his Mexican counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in a telephone conversation on Saturday about revising the immigration policy of the administration of former US President Donald Trump.
On his very first day in office, Joe Biden issued 15 decrees, including initiating the U.S. return to the Paris Climate Agreement, halting the withdrawal from the WHO, ending the ban on entry from certain Islamic countries, ending the emergency situation at the U.S.-Mexico border and requiring masks in federal buildings.
He also pushed for immigration reform that could pave the way for millions of migrants to become U.S. citizens.
