Soldiers of the Israeli regime have killed at least 155 Palestinian children since 2013, according to the UN.
Following the killing of a Palestinian child named Ali Abualia in a shooting by the Israeli regime’s soldiers, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory Michael Lynk and the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial killings Agnes Callamard issued a joint statement.
In their statement, they called for an impartial and independent investigation into the crime and stated their concern over the irresponsible behavior of the leaders of the Israeli regime towards the massacre of Palestinian children in recent years.
The Palestinian media reported on Friday evening that the soldiers of the Israeli regime shot dead Ali Abualia in a village near the West Bank city of Ramallah on December 4.
The Global Movement in Defense of Children also recently said the Israeli regime had killed some 2100 Palestinian children, including more than 520 under the age of eight, since 2000 through October 2020.
Since the beginning of the current year, 1364 Palestinian children have been detained, according to the report. Some 3,000 children have been arrested since 2008.
