Archbishop of the Assyrian Church in the city of Urmia in the east Marnersey Benyamin said the Islamic Republic of Iran is a model of solidarity between divine religions.
“The ideas of Imam Khomeini in the doctrine of the Islamic Revolution have generated solidarity and sympathy among the followers of divine religions,” he said.
“The numerous meetings of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution with the families of Christian martyrs are a symbol of the Islamic Republic’s respect for the followers of monotheistic religions,” the archbishop said.
“The Islamic Revolution’s doctrine morally condemns differences between ethnic groups and divine religions, and in recent years the Islamic Consultative Assembly has passed a law stating that no one should violate the values of other religions,” he added.
